Jiu Jitsu is a style of martial art that focuses on ground defense. It is based on the principle that a smaller person with less strength can defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent by using the attackers momentum, body, clothing, and shifting balance.
We will teach you how to use joint manipulations, air and blood flow manipulations, proper body positioning, as well as leverage with submission techinques. Aside from submission moves, we will also cover stand up, and ground fighting, also known as grappling.
Located in Noblesville, our dojo offers Jiu Jitsu training for both children and adults. We have beginner classes for those who are just starting out and advanced classes for clients with experience in the art.
Our students train completely without the fear of seriously getting hurt. This is because of the technique of ‘tapping’ when a particular hold or move starts to feel uncomfortable or painful both participants stop and relese their hold. These techniques will be used in real life situations where speed and personal safety are of paramount importance.
We incorporate technique, live sparring, competition training and fitness. Although our classes are intense and vigorous, our instructors recognize that each student is an individual with a different goal than one another and will progress at their own rate. All promotions are based on their effort, spirit, training, and martial arts skill.
In general, our classes are formatted as follows: students participating in Jiu-Jitsu classes can expect a friendly and structured environment focused on learning basic to advanced techniques and the principles of Jiu-Jitsu. Students will be taught all aspects of Jiu-Jitsu including self-defense with emphasis on technique and leverage over physical size and strength.
